Tour Blog 11 - Bako

Last show, fucking sucks. we have had the best time ever out for this week and a half. the cool part is we are ending it in Bako, which is always fun, and we get to end it with 3rd Alley, who turned out to be an awesome band and great people. There were free pitchers all night so right off the bat we knew we were in for a fun time. We got a little tipsy, played our asses off and sat back and watched 3rd Alley kick ass. Great night, great people, great tour.......so sad it's over.

we'd like to thank: benha, red bull and his good buddy vodka (and lots of it), bud light, mcdonalds, jack in the box, toilet paper, every plant we threw up on, the streetsweeper for waking me up in SD when I passed out on a bench, oil companies for making every stop at a gas station $60, the desert - because that is pretty much all we looked at for days, scottsdale for raising your girls to be hot as hell, every person that came out and supported this tour, bakersfield for pretending to suck by putting yourself in the middle of nowhere but actually being fucking awesome, starbucks for your coffee, tea, and shitters, and most importantly us because we are cocky assholes that like to watch oursleves on videos and listen to live recordings over and over again from hollywood for the whole trip.

Tour Blog 10 - Costa Mesa

Yeah, since we left Scottsdale at 4 in the morning we weren't exactly at the top of our game for the show. The lucky thing was we were playing so early there was no one there to see the set. actually there was. we call him ben and we brought him. We watched a pretty sick hip hop act. After they played they came down to pull out merchandise and that is exactly what it was, merchandise. I got offered a toaster and a watch. I was expecting a cd or a t-shirt, but the motherfucker had walmart in his backpack. anyways, we got out of there pretty quick and went to LB to see the Ziggens and hang out with the boys from 3rd Alley. Ended up being a fun ass night, especially the hour in the cab at 2AM with 6 other people. got to see a kid get his head smashed between the sidewalk and another dudes knee. sucks for him. one show left......sniff*

Tour Blog 9 Scottsdale

We slept in, showered slow, and lagged as much as possible before hitting the road to AZ. We got pulled over, shit at starbucks, puked at Chevron, ate at subway, and arrived in Scottsdale 20 min before showtime. Oh yea, we saw the hoover dam, and the $2 blow billboard, again. Martini Ranch is the SHIT!! Great stage, great sound, bar tab, green room, and plenty of smokin' hot bartenders for our oversized egos, and undersized cocks!! We played two sets, and watched an awesome cover band. At one point I remember Ben had two chicks on either shoulder, while weaving through a moshing crowd. He, as so many times before, was walking the fine line between life of the party and drunk asshole. Bless him. We were either kicked out, asked to leave, or the bar just closed. Off to the OC, literally 2:15 am, I think... Fun times, always!!

Tour Blog 8 Vegas pt.2

We all woke up about two or so. Ben and Dave slept on the tile floor with towels for pillows. We had an awesome buffet at the Monte Carlo, followed by some pool time, bloody marys, Jack shots, and dropping mud in the poolside bathroom. Dave and the ETU crew walked to the Hard rock hotel!! No one know why. Anyway, we all meet up later and travel to the gig. The Cheyenne saloon. As we pull up, we see another band being arrested. They go to jail, we play alone. Show goes alright. Eric loses his voice. If you happen to catch the video you are "in for a treat". Shades of American idol first auditions!

Tour Blog 7 Vegas pt.1

Pretty crazy night!! Not so much the gig, but the after party. The gig was cool. All ages venue, lots of kids who all dig music. You can only get wired at a place called Rock n' Java. So we all got fucked up at some Asain food court. Come set time we were all wasted. I felt like I was about 10 years late for the prom. I must have heard "Like him like him" from about 5 different chicks. Anyway we kicked ass, packed up, and headed for the strip. After that I have no memory!! Wait, I hung out with Elvis... I think, whatever, you get the idea!!

Tour Blog 5 - San Diego

well, the show got canceled at the last minute, which licked balls. The good thing was we were already so fucked up it didn't really bother us. We hung out in PB the whole night, two chicks were bugging moon so much he went back to the hotel room, eric dissappeared, and ben and i were wandering around the beach. i don't remember exactly what happed but i woke up with a bunch of cuts on my leg and thought i was going to die from the hangover. ben and eric threw up outside on the sidewalk before we left and i had to stop on the way out and throw up. don't worry, we have all of this on tape so you will be able to relive it with us. lucky bastards. if you are planning to drive from sd to tempe and want to see the sites, don't. there isn't shit in between so cal and tempe and it takes a long ass time to get in between them.

Tour Blog 4 - Beverly Hills, 90210

First time playing in BH, but we felt like we were at home from years of watching Beverly Hills 90210. Brenda and Brandon weren't there, but big ups to Dillon and Steve for making it out. We hit up the Peach Pit Afterdark after the show and Nat hooked us up with some great grub. Thanks again. Quick run through: Oki Dogs was closed, the Powerhouse stopped serving at 1:30, Joe slept in the car while the rest of the guys ate at Norms, Eric left his kids on the toilet in the hotel, Ben snores like a motherfucker, and we spet $140 dollars on 6 drinks in the hotel bar.

Tour Blog 3 - Bako

Okay, it smells like cow shit, doesn't have the best reputation for being a party town, but Bakersfield fucking rules. We had a fun ass time playing Vinny's Bar, got to see some old faces and met a bunch of very cool new people. Benha got the big one, and we are happy for him (sort of). We got to party our asses off after the show, then started it up again the next morning. Thanks to Haysfield for letting us crash, but we are going to need out bong back. Can't wait to get back there next week with 3rd Alley.

Joe

Tour Blog 2 - "The Ghosts of Long Beach"

Here's the deal. If no one knows who you are, they will probably not come out to see your band. Case in point, last night, we played to 3 people. Seriously, we played to THREE people! Luckily the booking chick liked us enough to let us play a second set upstairs. That show went over much better. We had a 400ain in our audience. That's right smarty pants, 12 people!! We have Bako tonight, its raining in L.A. I am going to fucking kill someone if we don't get away from the rain, and don't listen to Eric, we don't want double shots of Jack, we want shots of tequila. Bako, get your cow fart smelling town ready, we are going to fuck shit up.

Joe

Tour Blog 1 "Get on the bus!!!"

Ok here's the deal, as you know, we are about to leave for our first small tour. Ten shows in ten days!! I hope, if we are in your town, you get your asses out to a show!! We look forward to playing some great venues, as well as, meeting some cool new people. First stop Long Beach. We will have cd's, shirts, stickers and all kinds of other cool shit. If your care to know how the tour is going keep checking in on our blogs. We will have a laptop with us, and we will be blogging at many various different locations, mostly Starbucks. I can assure if one of the blogs says "fucker" in it, odds are Joe wrote it!! Be cool, see you soon!! Oh yea, feel free to buy us as many drinks as possible!! Double browns of course!!!

Cheers,

Eric

Help us get to number one on two new radio stations!!!

We are just as upset as you for Channel 104.9 shutting down in San Jose. There are two new ways you can help us become number one again on the radio. Request our single "Double Brown" off of our debut EP, First Ditch Effort, on Live 105 and KSCU 103.3.

Here are the request lines:

Live 105 - (415) 478-5483
KSCU - (408) 554-5728

Both stations have streaming audio so you can listen from your computer anywhere in the country, so don't hold back just because you don't live in the area!

SM is planning on doing big things in '06 and we need your help!

Let's make this shit happen!!!!!!!

double browns

the problem with playing a song called 'double browns' is that people bring them to you while you are playing, which is sick, but after a while, it makes it hard to play. so you know what that means? we have to get our tolerance up enough to where we can drink our asses off, and still kick ass. we figure as we get more and more popular, we will be getting more and more shots of whisky. we will consider the next few months training camping. starving millionaires and jack, hand in hand :)
